Changes of Name

Notices of changes of name by Deed Poll by UK and EU citizens are placed in the London Gazette by the Supreme Court of Judicature on behalf of applicants.

Change of name notices for non-EU citizens are accepted but are published in the 'Other Notices' section of the newspaper.

Notices of change of name by deed poll may be placed by solicitors in the Edinburgh and Belfast Gazettes.

The cost for a notice of 20 lines or fewer is:
