NORTHERN AREA PLAN 2016 INDEPENDENT EXAMINATION - STAGE 2
THE PLANNING (NORTHERN IRELAND) ORDER 1991
The Draft Northern Area Plan 2016 was prepared under Part III of the Planning (Northern Ireland) Order 1991 and was published
on 11th May 2005. The Department has decided to cause an Independent Examination (IE) to be held by the Planning Appeals Commission
(PAC) to consider objections to the Draft Plan. Stage 1 of the the Independent Examination commenced on 19th September and
closed on 6th October 2011.
Stage 2 (Site Specific Topics) of the IE will commence on Monday 23rd January 2012 at 10.00 am in Ballymoney Town Hall and
is currently programmed to continue until Wednesday 21st March 2012. Details of the Examination time table are available on
the Planning Appeals Commission Web site: www.pacni.gov.uk.
Copies of all objections and representations about objections to the Draft Plan are available for inspection at http://www.planningni.gov.uk/index/news/news_devplans/news_devplans_northern2016.htm
and at the following Area Planning Offices between 10.30am – 4.30.Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays:
