The Department for Employment and Learning has made a Statutory Rule entitled, 'The Industrial Training (Construction Board)
(Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2010' (S.R. 2010 No. 233), which comes into operation on 31 August 2010
This Rule amends the Industrial Training (Construction Board) Order (Northern Ireland) 1964 S.R. 1964 No. 145. It removes
the provision or continued provision of water, gas, lighting, heating or ventilation activities from the scope of CITB ConstructionSkills
NI (formerly known as the Construction Industry Training Board in Northern Ireland).
From 1 September 2010 employers engaged wholly or mainly in these activities will no longer be liable to pay levy to the Board,
neither will they benefit from its grant or other support services.
