PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF AN APPLICATION MADE UNDER REGULATION 17

OF

THE POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL (NORTHERN IRELAND) REGULATIONS 2003

INTEGRATED POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL

Notice is hereby given that Linergy Limited has applied to the Chief Inspector to vary the conditions in their Pollution Prevention and Control (PPC) Permit to operate an additional rendering plant to recycle animal by-products with a treatment capacity exceeding 10 tonnes per day and the combustion of tallow in two electrical generators. The installation is located at Granville Industrial Estate, Granville, Dungannon, Co. Tyrone, BT70 1NJ in the Dungannon and South Tyrone Borough Council area.

The application contains all particulars as required by the Regulations including a description of foreseeable significant effects of emissions from the installation on the environment

A copy of the application is available for public inspection free of charge between the hours of 09.30–12.00 and 14.00–15.30 at Northern Ireland Environment Agency, Klondyke Building, Cromac Avenue, Gasworks Business Park, Lower Ormeau Road, Belfast, BT7 2JA and Dungannon and South Tyrone Borough Council, Circular Road, Dungannon, Co. Tyrone, BT71 6DT. In addition, members of the public who wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information contained in the register can do so upon the payment of a reasonable charge to cover the cost of photocopying.

Written representations about the application may be sent to the Chief Inspector of the Industrial Pollution & Radiochemical Inspectorate, Northern Ireland Environment Agency, (address as above), within 42 days from the date of this publication. All representations will be placed on the public register unless a representation contains a written request to the contrary. If there is such a request, the register will only include a statement that there has been such a request.
